At Rossendale Pet Crematorium we offer a friendly, caring and supportive service.

We believe that all pets are entitled to the same love and respect in death as they enjoyed throughout their lives. We guarantee that your pet will be cremated or buried with the care and dignity they deserve.

Set in a tranquil fifteen acre countryside location overlooking the Rossendale Valley, our Memorial and Burial Grounds never close and are always open to pet owners and friends.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Can I discuss the options available to me before I suffer the loss of my pet?

A: Yes, you can contact us and we will explain the various options and how you will make the arrangements with us when the time comes. Through past experience we have found that our clients feel a sense of comfort knowing that they will not have to make decisions whilst grieving.

Q: How do I get my pet to you?

A: You can bring your pet to the Pet Crematorium during office hours.

Q: Do you provide a collection service?

A: Yes, we can collect from your home or veterinary practice.

Q: Can I be present at the time of cremation?

A: Yes, you can say your last farewell to your pet in our Chapel and then wait to take the ashes home. (This service is by prior appointment only.)

Q: What is the difference between an Individual Cremation and a Communal Cremation?

A: If you choose an Individual Cremation, your pet will be cremated separately and the ashes of your pet can be either returned to you or scattered here at the Memorial Gardens. If you choose a Communal Cremation, your pet will be cremated with other companion animals and a token amount of ash from each cremation will be scattered in the Memorial Gardens.

Q: Will the ashes I get back really be those of my pet?

A: Yes, we guarantee that the ashes you get back will be all the ashes and only the ashes of your pet.

Q: How do I get my pet’s ashes back?

A: They can be returned to your veterinary practice or delivered to your home. Alternatively, you can collect them from the Crematorium.

Q: Can I have my pet buried?

A: Yes, you can have your pet buried in our Burial Grounds in a lined coffin.

Q: Will my pet be handled with care and dignity?

A: Yes, we treat all pets as if they were our own.
